Tour of Carlisle at the Festival of Sport

If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour. Experience the countryside right in the heart of the Historic City of Carlisle. This ride takes you on a tour of what Carlisle offers the cyclist, showing the ease with which you can be out onto riverside cycle ways and quiet lanes, before we head right back into the centre of the bustling Market Square. This is a ride for everyone who wants to see a different side of a familiar face of Carlisle. The ride is part of the Festival of Sport which is a free event that gives families the chance to take part in different sporting activities - we hope you enjoy the ride! If you will be driving to the start location, please note that the Sheepmount car park will be closed and participants are required to use the nearby Devonshire walk car park.
