The route will be 47 miles, all tarmac on quiet roads with not one, but two cafe stops!. Leaving Chestnut House we head up towards Belvoir Castle on to the Leicestershire Wolds before an exhilarating descent to our first refreshment stop at the Old Wharfe on the Grantham Canal in Hickling. The remainder of the ride is relatively flat, passing several villages including Colston Basset and Long Clawson,(two of the four villages allowed to use the Stilton Cheese designation) to our second cafe stop, Cafe Velo Verde in Screveton. Suitably refreshed we continue back to our start point on Muston Lane.
