PL21 0DD

We meet at Ivybridge Park & Ride and take the backroad to South Brent.
There are toilets at South Brent and we continue towards Avonwick along Totnes Rd.
We turn right at the 2nd bridge and leave the main roads behind as we continue towards Diptford and Harbertonford for our first break.
We continue to Ashprington and look at the church before entering the Sharpham Estate. It is downhill now along the river Dart to Totnes for lunch.
After lunch we continue along the NCN into Dartington Estate where we may look at the Hall and gardens briefly.
Finally as we leave the estate we return along the NCN2 towards South Brent and then Ivybridge

Scenic route along the NCN 28 going through two Country Parks with Lunch in Totnes

This is a route along Country lanes avoiding busy roads where possible. It is especially scenic and has designated cycle paths through country parks. However as we avoid all main roads it is hilly on the way back on the NCN2. Gravel bikes, MTBs or ebikes are best rather than narrow road tyres

There is a morning break outside the community shop at Harbertonford by the river. Picnic Lunch on the Island ,Totnes, where there is a nearby takeaway cafe and cake shop

Bring a picnic lunch and an extra snack bar to get you up the hills on the way back. Inner tube money raincoat helmet phone snacks and bike lock

First-timers welcome!
