Starting from - HD6 2RW - North Cut, side road off Elland Road, Brighouse, reachable by the canal tow path from the town centre. We can meet by the bridge with tarmac over it, near where the fisher folk sometimes gather. It's easier to start & end there as there is space. There is car parking in Owler Ings car park, free on Sundays. HD6 2RW

Route to Heptonstall via canal with steep climb and steep descent mid-point. break midway. Optional return via Southowram for extra challenge. The main aim of this ride going beside the canal is to verify the state of the tow path - i.e exploratory in some ways. I know the route up to Heptonstall and may look to come down another route if I feel it suitable. All welcome - age limited - looking to stop for a bite to eat in Heptonstall itself.
