Tissington, Dovedale, Ilam Hall - new route

Down the high peak and tissington trails to Tissington. Then over to Dovedale for a look at the famous stepping stones and then lunch at Ilam Hall. Return via the manifold valley and the usual derbyshire/staffordshire hills.

Lovely route through Derbyshire and Staffordshire to Ilam Hall. This is a new route. Predominantly country lanes and trails.

Country roads and trails.

Stop for lunch at Ilam Hall outside where you can either eat your own picnic or buy something from the NT cafe. Afternoon stop in the Manifold Valley.

Helmets, usual tools for self sufficiency. Picnic if this is your preference.

Just over 40 miles and 3,000 feet of climbing so probably not best suited for first timers unless you're used to this.
