A fantastic circular route that as a mixture of terrains around some beautiful countryside.

A fantastic route out to eastern parts of Doncaster, we set off and head towards sandal beat woods then into equally fantastic woodland of shaw wood , we then cross over the west moor link road onto the beautiful off road bridleway over to the potato factory in Hatfield wood house. We continue over wood house lane onto a bridleway that takes us thru to Hatfield . We continue towards thorne via some lovely off road farm trails and country roads etc . Once in Thorne we cycle along the beautiful canal towpath to the much needed break at the popular lake view cafe . Our return journey takes us back to the canal but we head westwards towards stainforth , we cut off away from the canal over a lovely route around the Hatfield former pit spoil , we head over towards Hatfield then over to Dunscroft, heading into the magnificent quarry park . We head back towards tenpin via Barnby Dunn we continue at the side of the canal towpath heading towards sandal park and Grove Park along then into town feilds then back along bennethorpe to tenpin

Woodland trails, shared paths , farm land trails . Some quiet roads and canal towpaths .

Stopping at the lake view cafe in Thorne , stopping for picture opportunities

Helmets are advisable, also bring tools and spare inner tubes , cash and card for cafe stop
