Meet in front of the Victorian tearoom of Kings Heath Park, Vicarage Road, Kings Heath, Birmingham, B14 7TQ

To celebrate International Womens Day and as part of #This Girl Can campaign we will be cycling around parks and along cycle paths, some of the newly surfaced canal towpaths and quietish roads, joining other groups in Cannon Hill Park, and then on into the city centre where Birmingham City Council are co-ordinating a number of events/activities. (See Birminham City Council website for more details) After an hour or so you can then choose to stay on and return under your own steam or to continue our circukar route back to the lovely Victorian Tea Rooms in Kings Heath Park. This 12 mile circular route will be taken at a leisurely pace. Suitable for hybrid/mountain bike. Please ensure your bike is roadworthy and it's helpful if you have a spare inner tube to hand plus a cycle lock/chain for when we're in town. Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don't have one please do not to worry you can still take part.; If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then. We look foorward to seeing you there Gaye and Joan For any further info or if weather on the day looks "iffy" please call Gaye on 0773 8334271
