Starting point

Roxburghshire
EH45 8QN

We will start at the south side of Eddleston at the start of the cycle path. We'll go to Peebles along the shared path and weave our way along the tweed to Cadrona, Innerleithen and over to Walkerburn for coffee at the Caberston Cafe. We will come back the same way, so an easy out and back route. It's 27 miles but fairly flat at 600' of elevation along flowing share paths with fabulous views of the Tweed and surrounding hills. Lots of photo opps and hopefully lots of bird life on the Tweed to see.
If you are coming by car then please be mindful where you park within Eddleston Village and dont block house drive access points or low windows as it's a small place. Parking is ok up near the Scots Pine coffee shop and you can cycle on the shared path down to the start point if you wish.

This is a mix of well surfaced cycle path and road. When we are on the paths, we'll likely pass walkers, dogs and maybe horses and tiny humans on balance bikes, so please stay safe and keep other path users safe. This is route is suitable for road or gravel bikes, or hybrids or mountain bike (if you want an extra work out).

We will stop for coffee etc at the Caberston Cafe at Walkerburn.

Please bring the following with you: Bike in good and safe working order and well maintained, a helmet, spare inner-tube / puncture repair kit, a bike lock if you have one, layers (including a waterproof incase of rain), card or cash payment if you want to buy anything at our café stop. We don't leave anyone behind but if you find yourself in a position of being unable to continue with the ride for any reason, for example in the event of a puncture / mechanical that cannot be fixed at the roadside, then you need a plan for getting back home. And of course you will need a water bottle or two, some snacks just incase we dont stop for coffee (for what ever reason) and loads of chat!

We never leave anyone behind
