Starting point

Roxburghshire
EH45 8QN

This is a wee foray into the Borders and will start at the shared path at the south side of Eddleston and follow this path to the centre of Peebles and then onwards along the banks of the Tweed, again on shared paths to Innerleithen and Walkerburn where we will stop for a coffee at Cberston Cafe and the return the same route. It is a very beautiful part of the country and the views even if it rains are amazing. If we are lucky we may see a heron or two.

This is a foray into the Borders, starting at Eddleston and following the new shared path to Peebles and then onwards again on shared paths to Innerleithen and Walkerburn

Most of this very beautiful route is on well surfaced shared paths and a small section of road. A couple of narrower paths within Peebles but we will take our time. When we are on the paths, we'll likely pass walkers, dogs and maybe horses and tiny humans on balance bikes, so please stay safe and keep other path users safe. (Walkers and horses always have priority over cyclists). Suitable for road bikes.

We will stop at Caberston Farm Coffee shop for coffee / snack which is at half way point.

Please bring the following with you: Bike in good working order, a helmet, spare inner-tube / puncture repair kit or a means of getting home in the event of a puncture / mechanical, a bike lock if you have one for our coffee stop, layers (including a waterproof incase of rain), card or cash payment if you want to buy anything at our café stop. And of course a water bottle or two, some snacks, sun screen (we can always hope!) and loads of chat!

First-timers welcome!
