Elsecar Heritage Centre

A scenic fun ride to Worsbrough Mill via the Dearne & Dove Canal and disused railway lines. Our meeting point is Elsecar Heritage Centre.   Once we’ve checked over our bikes and warmed up, we’ll ride out on cycle paths and making the most of the lovely views. After stopping at Worsbrough Mill for a cake and a cuppa, we’ll take the missing link back, via Worsbrough Village and Shortwood Villa’s. The route is mostly flat but there is one big hill climb and it can sometimes be muddy. Wear comfortable clothing – a helmet is recommended. If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour.
