A 35 mile circular route that takes us from The Wellington Pub, Prescot to Rainford along the Rainford By Pass and out towards Bickerstaffe Church, to Lathom and on to Burscough via some lovely quiet country lanes. After our refreshment break at Tour de Franks we return via Ormskirk and Westhead on occasionally busy, mostly hard surfaced roads. Plenty of photo opportunities en-route.

A 35 mile ride from The Wellington Pub, Prescot to 'Tour de Franks' Cycle Cafe at Burscough. Mostly on hard surfaced roads through some lovely West Lancashire country lanes

This ride is suitable for hybrid bikes (fitted with road and off-road tyres), mountain bikes, road bikes and e-bikes and is mainly on hard surface roads.

There will be cafe stop at Tour de Frank's Cycle Cafe (the old Merlin Bakery) in Burscough so remember to bring along some money (or a card) and sample some of the excellent food and refreshment on offer.

All riders will be required to wear a helmet and carry spare inner tubes and the means to be able to repair a puncture (assistance will be provided if required). Don't forget to bring some cash or a card to pay for your refreshments at Tour de Frank's.

This is a mostly road route in some excellent cycling countryside and there will be plenty of photo opportunities along the way (it is a CYCLE: St Helens Ride!). We want everyone to enjoy the ride so it will be at a pace to suit all riders in the group and to take account of the weather conditions (usually between 9-11 mph). Remember we will never leave anyone behind!
