The Wandle Trail

Cycle the River Wandle taking in parklands and wildlife. At just over four miles in length and using traffic-free paths, the route is ideal for beginners and takes in some fascinating places along its route. Merton Abbey Mill, originally built to serve the needs of 18th century silk makers, became the home of William Morris' textile printing in the 19th Century. Fast forward to today and the Mills form an attractive craft village. The river also passes through the National Trust's Morden Hall Park, an attractive 125 acre green oasis, as well as Ravensbury Park with its woodland, nature reserves and children's play area. Our Easygoing rides are great for building confidence for all abilities and ages along relaxed, mostly traffic-free routes. They’re up to six miles long, with a gentle pace of around six miles an hour.
