Starting point

Kent
DA11 8AB

This ride will start at the Cyclopark and we will cycle towards Cobham, passing along Ashenbank wood. At the war memorial in Cobham we will take the fast downhill and picturesque route towards Cuxton. Then we will climb up towards the Medway bridge. Part of this is along the main road and part along the Pilgrims way, away from the traffic. We will take the cycle path over the bridge to Borstal. Then we drop down into Rochester along the Esplanade; here we will take a coffee break. After coffee we will take the main road out of Rochester, over the bridge towards Frindsbury. We will travel along the B2000 for half a mile and then take the country lanes towards Higham. After passing through Higham we will work our way up Pear Tree Lane, along the lovely Shore Ridgeway and back to the cyclopark along the cyclepath.

The route is not especially hilly, but there are 2 short climbs; one of these is at Cuxton and the other is at Pear Tree Lane. There is a busy traffic crossing section leaving Rochester; riders need to be confident in traffic.
