Starting point

West Yorkshire
LS10 1JW

Stating at The Tetley we make our way to the canal side of Leeds Armouries first turning Right onto Hunslet Road then immediate Right again onto Waterloo Street/Bowman Lane.
Using the pelican cross we cross over Crown Point Road & Black Bull Street which then leads us onto Armouries Way.
Here we join the Leeds Liverpool canal towpath (NCN Route 67) following it to Old Mill Lane. There we turn Left over the new bridge and follow the route towards Thwaites Mill.
Here we cross over the bridge and turn Left to the next bridge at Skelton Grange Road. Then its up and over the bridge to again carry on following the NCN67.
Mile after mile we enjoy the peace of the canal towpath, listening to nature and enjoying the array of vessels using the canal. We take a spin through Lemonroyd Marina, the track now being called the Leeds Country Way (NCN67)
We cross back over the river at Caroline Bridge, turning Left into RSPB St. Aidens. At the T junction we take the Right track which leads us to the RSPB Café.
On our return journey we leave the café turning Left, down the hill and skirt the pond to our Left.
We then rejoin the NCN67 at Caroline Bridge and follow the same route back.
It’s a lovely route with plenty of wild life to see.
