the sunday waggonway blast!

Starting at the 2 mini roundabouts in south gosforth, outside the chinese takeaway and under the sky sign, heading for the north tyneside waggonways making use of the many off road cycle friendly routes in north tyneside and newcastle. We'll drop into the hub (newcastle quayside) for a cuppa during the ride. As for a route i'll have one planned by sunday! Distance will be between 18 and 25 miles and will be on a mixture of surfaces that don't involve using the highway as much as possible. We'll end up back in south gosforth for those wishing to drive to the start, plenty of free parking. We don't leave anybody behind, we travel at the speed of the slowest rider. I am a BC ride leader and am first aid qualified so you are in reasonably safe hands. All welcome but cycles with a little suspension and fatter tyres find it more comfortable and with more grip on these damp, sometimes slippy and sometimes light muddy tracks but any bike with air in the tyres and brakes will make it round.
