Join us for a gentle paced FridayRidey to The Springs, some hills but nothing to challenging, there is an option if the group doesn't want to do 27 miles to take the Thorner section out, shaving 4 miles off

Cafe stop: Starbucks, if you don't like this choice, there are plenty of other eateries

Leaving Cookridge we drop down Holt lane to Adel, onto Eccup Reservoir, cross A61 to pick up the cycle path round the back of Leeds Grammar School, it has degraded in parts, skinny road tyres may struggle a little bit, but the option is to walk the short section. Turning left onto Wigton lane to the T junction turning right then left at the lights and onto Shadwell, Thorner, Sandhill, past The Arium, through the cemetery, coming out on A64 for the short section to the lights turning left and down through Scholes, at the junction we turn tight onto Leeds road, turning right before the roundabout onto the ELOR (dedicated cycle and walking path next to the ring road) and continue on to The Springs retail park for our coffee/cake stop

Leaving the cafe we head back along the ELOR to Redhill and pick up Ring Road Shadwell cycle path to A61 using the bike lane to cross the roundabout, before using the lights to cross onto King lane, cross over onto the bike path up to Crag lane, turn left onto the path through the woods popping out on Stairfoot lane, there is an option to pick up King lane, up to 5 lane ends, turn left down Eccup lane back to Adel (if you don't wish to do the short climb) then it's back to Cookridge on the in route

Bike lock is a must, spare inner tube and pennies for lunch, it will be around 8 degrees when we start, so plenty of warm layers
