Starting point

Lanarkshire
ML11 7DW

This is a (very) challenging and hilly route. It is not suitable for beginners.

We leave Lanark and head up towards Douglas Water via Hyndford Bridge, then up and along the old A74 to Abington. We then head back through Symington to Biggar for refreshments before heading over Cormiston Hill to Thankerton and back up to Lanark.
