Setting off from pedalling squares we'll travel along the river to tynemouth using bits of both sides of the tyne, stop there for a cuppa before heading back a slightly different way using recognised traffic free cycle paths almost all of the way. This will be around 35 miles in total, no big climbs and a lot of tarmac paths but the weather will make it feel longer, cold temperatures will affect you if you are not used to it. The ride will be led by a british cycling ride leader who is emergency first aid qualified, the pace will be steady with an expected average around 10mph. I make every effort to not leave people behind and assistance will be offered with any mechanical issues but we cannot help with major issues. Don't forget to bring fluid and snacks, we will be stopping for a cuppa along the route and time will be made for quick stops if required.
