The Hotel Aqua, Castletown Portland

This Sundays ride is going to involve a hill, as the last few weeks have been relatively flat. Starting from The Hotel Aqua in Castletown as usual. Those not wanting to do this route are welcome to use the Cycleccino traditional flat 17mile route, or the family friendly Sandsfoot 6 mile route, before returning to The Aqua. The Portland Bill route will set out from The Aqua at 11am. it will then go directly uphill through Fortuneswell and up New Road to Priory Corner. From here it is mainly undulating and at a downhill gradient as we ride down Easton Street and into Wakeham before crossing into Weston Street to Weston Road. A plunge into Avalanche before climbing onto the coast road to Portland Bill. The way back sees us head back to Avalanche before turning up Cheyne. Again we cross Weston Street and turn up Weston Road, into Wide Street, then plunge back down the hill returning to The Hotel Aqua.
