Led by experienced ride leaders, these rides are a great way to explore new places and to meet new people who enjoy cycling. They are suitable for all levels of experience, so whether you are a beginner or a seasoned cyclist, you can find a ride that is right for you.

A flat, friendly, easygoing ride over 28 miles through the country lanes around Portishead and Clevedon with plenty of opportunities for social interaction. The ride will go at a pace that is comfortable for everyone and depending on numbers may split into smaller groups. No-one ever gets left behind!

Halfway round we will stop at Heather's Cafe to sample their excellent cakes and to get to know one another better.

This ride specially encourages new riders who may have thought about joining a club but have been unsure whether it is for them. If you are interested please sign up so that we can ensure that there are sufficient ride leaders.

The Welcome Ride aims to invite new and potential members into the club on a relaxed social ride through the country lanes around Portishead and Clevedon. The emphasis is on meeting new people and finding out what the club is about. The ride itself will be led by at least two British Cycling qualified Ride leaders with other experienced riders in attendance. The ride is just about as flat (no hills) as you can get and will go out at 10-15 mph over 28 miles - no-one is ever left behind! Halfway round we stop at Heather's Cafe where you can sample their excellent cakes and continue the chatting theme of the ride.
