Liverpool is an Interesting and Dynamic City with an important History that goes beyond the Beatles and Football, if you want to find out more come along to this historical ride around Liverpool. Not only do you take in some amazing scenery but at certain points there will be a little bit of commentary from myself. Please note parts of the ride do go on the roads that can be busy, as well as cycle/pedestrian routes. The route starts at the University of Liverpool at University Square opposite the original Red brick Victorian building, going through the Georgian Quarter, past the Worlds largest Anglican Cathedral. From there crossing over to Toxteth where we'll go past Cain's Brewery and then down to the docks. Along the prom, with hopefully some good views of the Liverpool river front and some titbits on the Docks history. On through Festival Garden park and on to the Grade 1 listed Sefton Park. Taking a route through the park and its sights, including the Palm House and then on to Princes Park the template for public parks. Taking us again through Toxteth and then back on towards the University along the famous Hope Street, sights include Philharmonic and Everyman and past the Metropolitan Cathedral. The University of Liverpool is just up from both Central Station and Lime Street station, if you need directions or need me to wait for you there, give me a shout on the Liverpool Breeze Network Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/BreezeNetworkLiverpool The University has public car parks but you'd have to pay or there is some on the road 4 hours parking around the south and central parts of the campus.
