From The Leggers Inn we will start out up the Greenway up to Ossett and to go through to Gawthorpe.
From there we will travel through Soothill, Birstall, Little Gomersal and Cleckheaton before joining the Spen Valley Ringway.
At Heckmondwyke we cut across to the Spen Valley Greenway and return to The Leggers Inn.
Please be aware that there are quite a few hills along the way, however, nobody will be left behind.
Also note that this is not a guided ride and that each participant remains responsible for their own actions or omissions at all times.
The Met Office forecast for 10:00 Sunday is overcast with40% chance of rain, a temperature of 18C and 6mph winds with gusts.
Please check the forecast for yourself on Sunday morning.

The ride will leave the Leggers Inn in a circular route which heads out towards Ossett but returns to Leggers via the Spen Valley Greenway. It is an interesting route that travels along roads we use regularly but not necessarily in this order. This is a very pleasant ride but please do not underestimate it.

This Sunday we will be travelling along greenways and public roads. We will encounter a reasonable amount of traffic on those roads so riders will need to be fully confident in those situations. Mountain bikes, hybrids, e-bikes and gravel bikes are most suited to this ride.

With the exception of short stops to re-group, or to take in points of interest along the route, there are no scheduled breaks on this ride other than a toilet stop at Oakwell Hall. We may call for coffee at the Starbucks at Saville Town on the way back to the Leggers Inn or at the Leggers Inn.

Please bring a spare inner tube suitable for the tyres on the bike you are riding. Helmets are mandatory on Heavy Woollen Wheeler rides and don't forget money/card for your refreshments.

We especially welcome Newbies and never leave anyone behind.
