Day 2 Route Details:
The Jo Cox Way continues in the stunning countryside of the Peak District. Today we are climbing only 4000ft, but we do have 4500ft of descending so lots of happy riders. We will be riding 72 miles of quiet country lanes, enjoying sleepy rural villages and at the end of the day beaming because we have conquered the mighty Peak District! We will be hopping on and off Sustrans routes, using elements of route 68, 549, 54 and villages with the inviting names of Pilsbury, Hopedale, Blore, Marston on Dove and our favourite name today… Newton Burgoland. Market Bosworth is a welcome end and the buffet feast is waiting in Buxton Hall Spa Hotel.

The Jo Cox Way is a five-day, 280-mile bike ride in memory of Jo Cox MP, returning for its fourth year to celebrate Jo’s life, her beliefs and all the good work that goes on in communities up and down the UK.
Fifty cyclists will be setting off on Wednesday 24th July in West Yorkshire and riding to London, finishing at the Bankside, London on Sunday 28th July.
Please come and jump on a bike and pedal alongside us for part of the route and show your support by cheering the cyclists on their way.
The route has been broken into manageable day sections, join in the fun and celebrate group cycling.
