Day 2 Route Details:
The Jo Cox Way continues in the stunning countryside of the Peak District. Today we are climbing only 4000ft, but we do have 4500ft of descending so lots of happy riders. We will be riding 68 miles of quiet country lanes, enjoying sleepy rural villages and at the end of the day beaming because we have conquered the mighty Peak District!
Before we can enjoy the decending there is the intial climbing out of Buxton. We south and up to to Harpur Hill. A little more climbing gets us to the Cromforth and High Peak railway. prepare for stunning views and a blast!
We will be hopping on and off Sustrans routes, using elements of route 68, 549, 54 and villages with the inviting names of Pilsbury, Hopedale, Blore, Marston on Dove and our favourite name today… Newton Burgoland. Market Bosworth is a welcome end and the buffet feast that is waiting in Bosworth Hall Hotel & Spa.
