About the route

Starting at the Whitkirk / Colton end of Temple Newsam, in the gravel car park near the two gate houses. Please be there promptly as well set off at 10am sharp.
A lovely short route that takes you past Temple Newsam House, through the estate gardens and then into a woodland with a newly built compacted shale pathway.
There are some climbs and down hills on this route, but we're not in a hurry so most adults will be fine!!
The map shown is an approximation, course will be changed as necessary if weather / ability / wild cats cause changes.
At ride end plan is to take tea / coffee and cake at the Temple Newsam Cafe, so bring some cash and a chat.
Suitable for hybrid bikes with off road tyres, mountain bikes or adventure bikes.
