Join us for a road ride from Ilkey to Bolton Abbey with an extension up the gated road to Embsay
Please note: there are free roaming sheep and usually cows on the gated road, they are generally friendly, the cows stick to the grass not the tarmac
A couple of challenging climbs, and some cheeky climbs, these are to be taken at individuals speed, its not a race, regrouping and supporting each other as we go
If 23.5 miles is above your limit, there is the option to stop at Halton East whilst the group carries on with the loop, 19.4 miles
Leaving the start point we head down to A65, turning right at the lights then left onto Denton road, then right onto Carter's lane for the climb up to Middleton, we carry on Slates lane/Hardings lane coming out on Langbar road, turning left and dropping back down to Ilkley, turn right onto Common Holme road past the golf club and onto Nesfield, Beamsley and the Bolton Abbey estate, we will have a bathroom break at the public facilities before the climb up the gated road, then it's a loop around Embsay before heading back to Bolton Abbey, from here it's on to the Cavendish Pavilion for our lunch stop, bring your own picnic or purchase something from the cafe
Leaving our coffee stop we head back to Beamsley, Nesfield and Ilkley on the in route, pass the lido on Denton road and back to Ben Rhydding
The cafe is CARD ONLY
