There is a 4 pounds charge on the castle leisure car park which you can choose but we suggest finding some free on road parking on the surrounding streets and cycling in.

Starting point

If you have been on this social ride before you will now how good it is.
We follow the East Lancs Railway on tracks and trails with the sound of the trains horn never far from earshot.
We make our way from Bury to Greenmount on the famous lines, Then on to Ramsbottom and Stubbins before we discover a brand new cycle route to Helmshore. Again we use a disused railway line and make our way to Rawtenstall via our own bespoke route.
From here we can decide if we are to climb up to the Clowbridge reservoir for fantastic views which is a 6 mile extension or do we have a pit stop at the Buffer stops bar and cafe and relax.
Either way after each outcome we make our way back on a similar route stopping at some of the local watering holes and interesting stop offs.

This is a fantastic social ride following the ELR railway from Bury all the way to Rawtenstall and beyond.

Some roads but mainly old disused railway cycle tracks and snickets.

Ooooh this ride follows the Rossendale ale trail and there are numerous cafe stop and bars on our route your choice of hydration will be plentiful and varied.

Helmets are a must on this one guys. Please bring all needed equipment and a few pounds alongside a fancy free attitude.

We never leave anyone behind
