We leave Warrington Cycle Hub on Crown St (Beneath the arches of Central Station)
and use the Cycle lanes heading south to Mersey St. Road through Howley then takes us to the Suspension Bridge across the River Mersey and Victoria Park.
The Old Blackbear Canal path is then taken towards Stockton Heath where a turn takes us alongside Manchester Ship Canal and Latchford Lock. At Bradshaw Lane we again join the the Trans-Pennine Trail, heading East to Lymm Village and a warm welcome at our mid-point cafe stop. The return rides retraces the outward leg back to Warrington and a chance to grab another coffee and chat with the staff at the cycle Hub.

A scenic ride along the Trans-Pennine Trail to the popular Sanctuary Cafe in Lymm Village

We will used the the dedicated Cycle lanes in Town and once in Howley's quiet streets, use cycle-friends path to access the TPT (Trans-Pennine Trail). After crossing Latchford Lock we stay on the TPT to head for Lymm and the planned cafe stop.

A planned cafe stop at Sanctuary Cafe and stops can be made along the route if people want to photograph the scenery

Helmets are mandatory if under 18 Years and highly recommended for all riders. Layered clothing, gloves and waterproof should be carried. A basic tool kit - Cycle pump, spare inner tube, tyre sealant. Cycle lock, money, or card if purchasing food/drink. fully-charged mobile phone.
