Tees Valley Riders presents...
This all-day ride takes us along the old Whitby to Scarborough railway line, closed in 1965. The track follows the coast with great views across to the North Sea. Cars to Whitby then we make our way to Larpool and pick up the track crossing the Larpool Viaduct. We head on towards the village of Hawsker and onto Robin Hood's Bay for a short stop. It's then back onto the track to Fylinghall and a break at Ravenscar. Then through Staintondale, Hayburn Wyke and Coughton, before we reach Scalby. Scarborough is the end of the line, a break on the front here, then the return trip takes us back along the line in reverse.
The ride starts in Whitby. Get there early for free parking on the West Cliff. If you’d like a lift, let us know and we will try to organise car shares, there are plenty of people with trailers & bike carriers.
