Wythenshawe Park

The wonderful route explores the best attractions and scenery that Cheshire has to offer. The route starts at Wythneshawe Park and quickly meanders through the suburban setting before opening up onto the quiet country lanes through Ashley. The trees overhang as you cycle to Tatton Park and take advantage of the cycle route through the gorgeous park itself. Great views of the scenery and wildlife, deer can be spotted enjoying the sanctuary, before exiting south of the park and cycle east. The roads meander, slinking their way through quaint settlements until you reach the truly picturesque village of Great Budworth.

From Great Budworth it’s a short cycle through Comberbach before the Anderton Boat Lift, where you can stop for some refreshments!

The return route takes you back through Great Budworth then you cycle north, taking advantage of the quiet lanes towards High Legh then onto Dunham Massey. Another potential stop to take in the wonderful scenery at Dunham Massey before cycling back into suburbia and back to Wythneshawe Park.
