The Central London Outdoor Group (CLOG) (founded 1937) has one or two easy cycle rides in the countryside nearly every week between March and October ranging from 20 to 35 miles. These are easily accessible by public transport from London and are on quiet roads or cycle paths.
By bike we explore rivers, canals, forts, castles, coast, marshes, gardens, woods, ruins, churches, mansions, cycle-ferries, churchyards, villages, lost railways....
Non members can come up to 3 cycle rides or other events to try us out before joining. Photos from past cycle rides and walks:

The Chalfonts, Jordans and Seer Green, 25 mile linear bike ride
Hi Cloggies Join me for a 25 mile linear bike ride visiting the pretty villages of Chalfont St Giles, Chalfont St Peter, Seer Green and Jordans set amongst the Chiltern Hills on Saturday 7th October. We start our ride at 10.50am from Northwood tube station (Met line zone 6), gradually climbing to Harefield where we stop at 'The Old Orchard' pub to admire the spectacular views over the Herts and Bucks countryside. Depending on time we could have refreshments here if the pub is open or 'The Dumb Bell' pub or 'Crumbs' cafe in Chalfont St Peter for a possible late morning coffee stop. After riding through the charming village of Chalfont St Peter, we cycle along country lanes to the quaker village of Jordans and onto the picturesque village of Seer Green where we stop for a late lunch (approx 1.30pm) at 'The Three Horseshoes'. There is a village green for those that wish to bring a packed lunch. After lunch we continue to cycling along lovely country lanes towards Chalfont St Giles where we head towards Chorleywood for tea at Rootz cafe before we catch the train home from Chorleywood station at approx 5.30pm. Chiltern trains from Chorleywood station (Zone 7) to Marylebone at 16 and 46mins past the hour with met trains to Baker Street running more often. The ride will include some hills. The route will be on a mixture of country lanes, minor roads and bridleways.
