Meet outside Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre next to the outdoor gym equipment

The Bank Holiday Biggie Join me this Bank Holiday Monday on a ride to the seaside. A leisurely cycle up to Southport to enjoy some fish and chips. There are several options for you on this ride. We will leave from Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre at 10am and make our way up to Southport along the Sefton Coastal Path. You can join or leave us at certain points along the way, you choose how far you’d like to ride. We will be at Freshfields Station in Formby by 11am, with a view to setting off again at 11.15am, where we’ll make our way up to Ainsdale Station, via the pinewoods and the sand dunes. Our next pick up point will be at Ainsdale Station at 12 noon. We will then make or way up to Southport for some well earned fish and chips at the top of the pier. After our lunch stop, we’ll make our way back to Crosby along the coast. Again we will call at Ainsdale and Freshfields stations. The total ride distance from Lakeside to Southport and back is 35 miles. If you choose to join us at Freshfields, the distance is 15 miles (returning to Freshfields) or 8 miles return from Ainsdale. Once you’re booked on to the ride, I will contact you by email (or text) to confirm which pick up point you want to start from. You are, of course welcome to join me just up to Southport and make your own way back. Newcomers to Breeze rides are very welcome, don't worry if you don't know anyone, we're a friendly bunch. Dress appropriately for the weather: in cool weather it's good to wear lots of thin layers, so you can add/remove them as needed; a rain jacket is a good idea too. This ride is best enjoyed on a mountain or hybrid bike. If you need to ask any questions please call me on 07801 536955 or email me at [email protected] Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part. If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then. Look forward to seeing you there!
