Just because the days are getting shorter, it doesn’t mean you have to stop cycling. Keep riding with our Autumn Series – now open for free booking. These rides are all about getting the best out of the season, perfect for getting out on your bike and warming up on a fresh autumn morning! As ‘challenging’ rides you can expect distances of twenty miles and above, usually with some hills thrown in along the way. You don’t have to be the next Bradley Wiggins to take part, but you’ll need to be fairly fit. Don’t forget to bring your climbing legs as today we are going to tackle some of the same roads and hills that will be used in this year’s Tour de France! Starting out from the Cycle Circuit at Forge Valley Community School we will make our way down to Malin Bridge before starting the gentle climb up to Dam Flask reservoir, which is popular on the weekends with cyclists and runners alike. A quick trip through Low Bradfield will bring us to Agden Reservoir which we will skirt around as we climb our way up to Mortimer Road where we can pick up part of the 2014 Tour de France route.  We will be rewarded for all our climbing efforts with some of the best views in Sheffield as we take a little breather before we turn back and head towards Sheffield via High Bradfield. From High Bradfield we will enjoy the fruits of all our climbing with some well-deserved downhill freewheeling before we start our last ascent up to Hill Top.  As the name suggests there is some climbing to do here, but we will not only be rewarded by the views here as we can take a small detour via 'Our Cow Molly' to treat ourselves to an Ice Cream!  Don't forget to bring some money to help you replenish the calories you will have burnt off, you will deserve it. From here it is pretty much all downhill on our way back to the Cycle Circuit at Forge Valley Community School and the end of our ride.
