A favourite short ride, this anti-clockwise loop follows the Thames on both banks. Lots of history and always something new to see. 10am to 12.30pm. Start/finish Deal Porter Square, opposite Canada Water Station. Easy 11 mile ride using DLR to cross river at Greenwich (travel pass or equivalent needed) and returning over London Bridge. Route includes Russia Woodland, Deptford Historic Waterfront, Mudchute DLR, Shadwell Basin, Canal-side paths to St Katherines, London Bridge. Coffee stop on return leg. No hills, mostly off road, cycle lanes or quiet streets. Simon K. leading. It will be possible to join the ride at Greenwich Station. Meet 10.25am outside the front of the station on Greenwich High Rd, near the Novotel (not by the DLR entrance). Please indicate on the registration form that you will be joining at Greenwich.
