82 Main Street

This is a ride to test a potential long, challenging summer ride. We take our usual route out of Guiseley, climbing Carlton lane and heading through Bramhope, Alwoodley lane, Wigton lane and onto Roundhay Park. The next section is new to us and this ride is to test its suitablility for a group ride in summer. We follow the Sustrans track from Roundhay to Temple Newsam. Most of this is on dedicated cycle paths with 2 or 3 toucan crossings to be negotiated to get us safely over the busy roads. The same route is used to get back to Roundhay and then we head over to Eccup reservoir before dropping back down into Guiseley.
