Not cycled for a while and looking for an easy way to get back in the saddle? Fancy a fun way to get your friends or kids riding? Our Easygoing rides are great for building confidence for all abilities and ages along relaxed, mostly traffic-free routes. They’re up to six miles long, with a gentle pace of around six miles an hour. This circular ride takes in the views of historic stately home Temple Newsam House, the extensive gardens designed by the world famous Capability Brown, before we cycling out into some beautiful woodland on a recently built smooth shale pathway. If that’s not enough excitement, we will also finish close to a wonderful cafe that serves locally produced food and hot drinks.  This ride is just perfect for families and leisure cyclists who want to get out on the bike and take in some amazing scenery! This ride uses part of National Cycle Network (NCN) route 66. To find out more about the NCN and other great places to cycle near you everyday, go to the Sustrans website (http://www.sustrans.org.uk/ncn/map/national-cycle-network).
