SO18 3HW

Haskins Garden Centre, Mansbridge Road, Gaters Hill, West End, SO18 3HW

This is a new ride to our repertoire, planned to take us from Haskins Garden Centre, Mansbridge to Bishops Waltham. The ride is a circular ride of 16 miles through some lovely quiet lanes and occasionally on more main roads. It is rather undulating, so ups and downs must be expected!!! As usual, our rule applies – you ride or walk as you like, with no pressure to overstretch yourself. Our pace is governed by the slowest rider, no-one is left behind. A drink and a snack are good things to bring, as well as some money – we will be having tea or coffee and cake in one of the many lovely cafes in Bishops Waltham. We welcome newcomers to our rides, although this particular ride may not be the best choice for a novice. However, if you are new back on the road and do want to try this ride, we will support you. The group is very sociable and encouraging!! Any type of bike is suitable as long as it's in reasonable working order. You may wish to bring a spare tube in case of a puncture. The Breeze Champions will help with any mechanical problems as far as they are able, but are not trained or insured to mend your bike. Please dress appropriately for the weather – better to have to take a layer off than to be cold! Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part. If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then. Car parking at Haskins is free. We look forward to seeing you there.
