Bristol Avenue, Ashton-under-Lyne, OL6 8TZ We’ll meet on the trail (National Cycling Route 66) at the access point between Limehurst and Hartshead Estates

The plan is to meet at the access point between Limehurst and Hartshead Estate on the National Cycling Route 66. There are several access points on this route; Turner Lane; Cranbourne Road; Wood Lane and Peterborough Close. If you’re running late please call us on 07806 874 187 / 07943 100 920. There are flat stretches so you can get used your bike if you haven’t been on it for a while. Over the course of spring/summer we will build ourselves up to cover longer distances at a faster pace. The routes will vary each ride covering Daisy Nook, Droylsden, Alexandra Park, Knott Hill Reservoir, Audenshaw, Debdale Park and the Fallowfield Loop. There’ll be a mixture of quiet road riding and hard tracks and we’ll ride at a steady pace. There might be a few inclines and one hill to tackle (on the way home). Treat it as a challenge, see how far you and get and work to getting a bit further next time. Please feel free to stop at any time or get off and walk (most of us will). This is perfect for riders who are comfortable on a bike and looking to build their fitness. You might like to bring a drink and snack for when we stop mid way. Wearing a helmet is advisable as we’ll be on roads. Look forward to seeing you there!
