Tale of Two Parks

Come and join like-minded ladies on this circular route starting from Leigh College Car Park. The ride is a mixture of canal towpath, off road trails and roads which will take us through Lowton, Golborne and Three Sisters Country Park at Ashton. From here we will join the canal towpath into Wigan for our lunch stop. We will then return to Leigh using the towpath and off road trails. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear a helmet. Also bring some money if you wish to purchase refreshments or a drink and a spare inner tube if you have one.

The ride is approximately 22 miles and is suitable for hybrids and mountain bikes. There are some lock gates to navigate along the way and a few inclines to climb (but we aren’t too proud to push if necessary)

There will be plenty of rest stops and time to chat and catch our breath. We ride at a suitable pace for everyone and no-one is left behind.
