This Sunday, 6th October, we'll be joining Maria Mylne, Mary Hall, Callum McRoberts and Chris Burn as they continue on their epic 1,200-mile cycle ride across the country from Land’s End to John O’Groats in memory of a partner, friend and veterinary colleague, Kirsty, who they tragically lost to suicide. This amazing group are hoping to raise awareness of suicide and mental health issues in the profession by calling at vet schools along the way, as well as raise money for two charities, all in the name of Vet, Kirsty. Between them they decided to turn grief into something positive by helping others struggling with their mental health and are raising money for The Canmore Trust and Vetlife. This Sunday they'll be on day 14 and we thought it would be fantastic to join them on their leg between Kelso and Gala to accompany them to Galedin Galashiels. We will meet at the Knowes Carpark, opposite Galedin Vets Kelso 11.30am (you have to register with them to check in before we pedal) with the plan to leave at 12noon (or once the Vets are ready to pedal at this time). The Route our is just under 19 miles, From Kelso out past Floors on the back roads to makerstoun, following to Clintmains, over the bridge at dryburgh, crossing over to St Boswells, then behind the Eildons and over to Melrose and then into Gala, We will have a refreshement in Gala before returing to Kelso. For those of you joining our ride, it would be great if you could make a donation to this worthwhile charity. Thank you. https://www.justgiving.com/team/lejogawareness

You will be mainly on quiter back roads, take care when crossing after the Dryburgh bridge over to Milestone and into St Boswells
