A nice easy festive ride that takes in the sunrise and starts the Christmas festivities with the 1st of this year's Christmas jumper rides. The route predominantly follows fairly flat cycle routes along Swansea Bay and the River Tawe. Christmas jumpers and outfits are encouraged.

We will cycle from the Secret, along the Promenade and across the River, where we will join the Swansea Valley cycle path. We follow the path to Ynystawe, where we will then retrace our route back to the Secret, and then cycle on to Mumbles. We will stop for refreshments, before returning to The Secret. Most of the route is along the Promenade and Tawe Valley cycle path, with a couple of short sections on the road.

We will stop in Mumbles for refreshments.

Riders are advised to wear cycle helmets and weather appropriate clothing, plus any festive bits. Please make sure bikes are in good working order with tyres pumped to an appropriate level, and carry a spare inner tube, pump and levers in case of any accidents. Please carry money for refreshments, and bring any water/snacks that you will need on route. As we will be starting at sunrise lights are essential for this ride.

We are a friendly, chatty bunch, and particularly welcome newcomers. We ride at a pace that nobody gets left behind.
