Janet and I are trying something different, A Sunday special - a short "Gears and Beers" ride - starting at Angel Hill at 3pm we will make our way out slowly to the Fox Pub at Pakenham village , we will stop here to admire their beer garden and partake in a beverage of your choice, tea, coffee, soft drinks or even a cheeky half.

Cycling up Mount road we will make our way to Thurston, past the allotments on Green lane, then down the long straight Pakenham road until we arrive at our chosen watering hole. . Our route on the way back will take us past St Marys church, into the village of Thurston passing the Victoria pub before cycling back to Bury St Edmunds. The route is fairly flatish, once out of the town centre , its country lanes all the way.

The Pakenham Fox.

Please make sure that your bikes are road worthy, Tyres inflated, NO helmets no ride. There could be showers on the way back so make sure you have appropriate clothing and a waterproof jacket

First-timers welcome!
