A ride, a chat and perhaps a nice piece of cake. What else are Sunday mornings for?
We start our ride at a gentle pace heading for, and round, Burrator reservoir. This leads us to the village of Sheepstor and a serious climb to take us onto the Moors. At this point I will stress that there is no pressure here and if you can walk quicker than you can ride, then walk a bit.
After a rest and photo opportunity there follows some undulating moorland roads past Cadover Bridge before the long downhill toward Plympton and the second of our climbs before riding through Colebrook to St Mary’s park and the cycle path to the Plymbridge Trail at Coypool.
Taking the cycle trail up to our final climb at Clearbrook we head toward our original start point at Yelverton bus stop.
But,
Not before a little detour past Crapstone and on to the Long Ash garden centre for a nice cuppa and, possibly, something sweet as a reward for your efforts.
