Sunday Morning Breeze to the Speckled Hen

This ride will be a gently paced loop out to Roxburgh Mill for a stop at the Speckled Hen bakery to enjoy some home baked delights and maybe even an ice cream.

We will be cycling on quiet country lanes with a few undulations. You will pass through lovely countryside with signs of spring everywhere. You may see hares, oyster catchers and sky larks and lots of lambs. Some road sections can be rough in places especially near farms.

We will pause at any junctions, to regroup, have a drink and maybe take a photo and just enjoy the scenery. Our refreshment stop will be at the Speckled Hen for cake, biscuits and ice cream. If you would like a hot drink you could bring a flask but otherwise water or juice.

Please wear a helmet and bring a well maintained bike. Tools and a spare inner tube for your bike. Cash for the Speckled Hen as it is an honesty box. Water, juice and / or a flask for a hot drink.
