This is a social bike ride to Windsor for a spoiling Sunday brunch! A flat route there, a rolling route back through Windsor Great Park.

45miles return to Bushy Park (main meeting point)
58miles return to Richmond Park (earlier meeting point)

We shall be aiming for a Strava average speed of 20-23kph (13.5mph) over the distance (not strict). Quiet and pretty roads as far possible. Normally we should be cycling along around 24kph/15mph (not strict) on a flattish, easy-ish road; faster if everyone is comfortable, slower as suits. Pace of the slowest, looking out for each other. Own pace on hills, re-grouping on top/bottom/ at junctions.

Brunch will be relaxed, around 45mins / an hour. Here's the menu! (even though it says breakfast!) https://www.browns-restaurants.co.uk/restaurants/southeast/windsor/breakfastmenu

If you have been off your bike awhile, want a pleasant ride, perhaps to recover some fitness or mojo, and/or just a relaxed ride to brunch ... then this is for you!

Road bikes (flat bar and drop bar), hybrid (including gravel/adventure, fast commuter etc), steel, touring etc bikes are welcome. Clip-in and flat pedals are OK too.

Aiming for 6-8 max per riding group. Own pace on hills, re-grouping at top/bottom/ at junctions. No one left behind. Ride leaders will be a mix British Cycling ride leaders, Breeze champions (ride leaders), and helpers/rookies/ good eggs; amongst them will be Belinda Scott, Sarah Fielder and me (Deborah!)

We aim to be back in Bushy Park by 2:30pm and Richmond Park 3pm (before it get dark). Please bring good bike lights, one more layer of clothing that you think that you will need.

BRING
Good bike lights. A café bike lock. Water, an emergency snack. A spare inner tube. A toolkit if you have one (essentials are: tyre levers, mini pump, multi-tool, cloth). One more layer of clothing that you think that you will need (many thin layers are better than one chunky layer).
