Starting from - As 14 locks car park is shut in the evenings, we will start at the canal entrance on Ruskin Ave. You can park considerately on local roads, for example the Squires gate estate opposite.

This is a beautiful if challenging, hilly route but the views are worth it!
Please arrive at 6.15 to start riding at 6.30.
Join us for a summer evening ride to Cwmcarn and up around the forest drive.
The route is on the canal path and on closed roads on the forest drive itself. There is a short on road section open to card as we ride up to the visitor centre from the entrance. E-bikes welcome
We will stop briefly at the top for photos and a quick snack.
Please wear a helmet, water and a snack as there is no official stop on this route. Bring a spare inner tube for your bike and the means to change it in case of a puncture. Please also bring lights, we should be back before it gets dark but just in case of delays.
