Starting point

Lanarkshire
G73 5BT

A longer midweek ride, what with the lighter nights and all! A challenging, hilly 27-miler circumnavigating East Kilbride!

Leaving from Burnside's Cafe Gelato we will climb up through Castlemilk, and head through Carmunnock and Thorntonhall. We will head over to Eaglesham, go around the back of Auldhouse and into Chapelton. On the last leg we will drop downhill towards Hamilton and head back to Burnside via Blantyre. We will be on a mixture of A roads and quiet country roads throughout.

Great for more experienced riders, our Challenging rides allow you to cover a good distance and conquer some hills in the comfort of a group. Whether you’re in training for a cycling challenge or just want to take your riding up a notch, our Challenging rides are a great place to start. Speed: 12-14 mph.
