A Summer of Cycling for women in Saltaire - First Saturday of every month! 2014 promises to be the biggest year for cycling we have ever seen. If you are inspired by the Tour de France and want to do more cycling or join a group of women on regular bike rides, British Cycling’s Breeze Network is for you. In Saltaire, Breeze Champions (Female British Cycling Qualified Ride Leaders) will be running rides from the Village. Meeting at Vicars on the First Saturday of each month there will be rides for all abilities. A gentle introductory ride on the canal towpath and a steady ride on the road. This is the Towpath Ride. The direction is not specified as so much depends on the progress of the towpath upgrade between Kirkstall and Shipley First Saturday of the month at Vicars in Saltaire See you there! We really welcome newcomers to our rides; we will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind. All you need is a roadworthy bike, sensible clothing and a bit of enthusiasm. It helps to have a spare inner tube of the correct size - just in case. My contact number on the day is 07940 975 971 I look forward to you joining us. Note: Parking in Saltaire on Saturday is not easy. There is free parking in Salts Mill (access from Victoria STREET), Hirst Wood Car Park or Coach Road.
