Summer Breeze out of Wirral

A day out starting from NETS and heading out to Wales/Chester. The route will be as trafffic free as possible. Listed as challenging due to distance not speed. We're planning for this to be a nice bit of escapism from the Bank Holiday mayhem, with a nice stop off for lunch/coffee along the way, and maybe before we leave too! Starting from NETS we will head out over Burton marsh to the Greenway and onto the canal to take us through to Chester. We will follow the canal round and down Dee Lane to the Promenade route where will stop off for lunch/coffee/cakes/ice cream or maybe a picnic by the waterside, whatever takes your fancy. The return journey will take us around Chester racecourse and another section of the canal before following the link route down onto the Dee riverside route, back onto the Greenway and the marsh link back to NETS and maybe more coffee and cake.
