Stubbington to Milton via Gosport

This ride will go from Stubbington to Gosport via the NCR 2 route taking in Lee on the Solent, Stokes bay and Alverstoke. Most of this route follows the coast line before turning inland at Alverstoke. Cycle paths are used for most of the way until a mile out from Gosport where there is a cycle lane on a B road. In old Portsmouth we cycle passed Gunwhalf quays on passed the war memorial on Southsea common. We pick up the cycle path along the sea front to our coffee destination.
The return route will be re tracing the sea front back to the ferry then turning right out of the Ferry terminal to pick up the Eclipse route back to Longfield, Peak lane and Mays lane.

This is a flat route taking in a crossing on the Gosport ferry. A ride along the sea front with views over the Solent across to the IOW to the Gosport terminal. The ride will pick up the cycle path again in South sea and on to Milton. The route back will be via the ferry and the Eclipse.

This ride will will have cycle lanes and paths. Quiet roads but also busier roads which cannot be avoided all together.

We will have a stop whilst crossing on the ferry both ways. The coffee stop will be at the marina bar. If any further stops are needed for a drink or photo this is not an issue.

Please wear a helmet fitted correctly. A lock for your bike at the coffee stop. Cash or card for your coffee stop plus the ferry crossing - Adult £6.80 return. Seniors 65 years and over £5.00.
